Lighting INSTALLATION
2018

Lighting for Beirut-based artist Dala Nasser’s studio.

Two PVC pipes hang from steel tension cables in the 4.5m heigh ceiling, running parallel across the space.

The design makes use of the generous height of the room and the depth of the drop beam, to bathe the studio in ambient, shadowless daylight, while constraining task-lighting to the workspace.

LED bulbs at either end of the pipes wash the walls with warm accent lights. A third lighting mode makes use of the full spectrum of the indirect LED strips to plunge the room into colour.
