TOSHI
natural chair
2015
DESIGNED FOR CHAKIB RICHANI GALLERY
Toshi is built with fallen wood collected from the forest floor.
The piece is assembled entirely with wood, using smaller twigs as dowels to connect one branch to another in a cluster.
Branches are held together at the seat, growing tall for a back-rest, and long for legs.
The chair is entirely both materially and aesthetically organic taking shape by virtue of its materiality dictating assembly and form.
